GiraSile (Orange Route)

An itinerary that follows the banks of Europe’s longest resurgence river along the Green Way, a cycle path that crosses the wonderful regional nature park of the River Sile. It starts in the centre of Jesolo, following the Orange Cycle Route as far as the riverbank, where you immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Venetian Lagoon as far as Portegrandi. From Quarto D’Altino head into Sile Park, a cool ecological corridor that leads to Casier, where you can admire the cemetery of the “Burci”, the ancient boats used for transport. Before reaching the ancient walls of Treviso, we follow the route of the ancient “restere”, the embankment roads that beasts of burden once trod as they pulled river barges.
