1. The lighthouse and the mouth of the tagliamento river
A loop through the pine forest east of Bibione, to discover an intact natural oasis, good for expert cyclists with mountain bikes. This route winds through the fossil dunes along the sea and the shores of the river covered with wild vegetation, penetrating the thick pines that between March and May reward you with spectacular springtime flowers. You may also see representatives of the local fauna like birds, lizards and the occasional tortoise. Length: 12 Km |
2. The internal cycle path
This is a cycle path that, from east to west, connects the city by crossing a suggestive and unexpected wood: crossing small wooden bridges, you can admire maritime pines, oaks, holm oaks, primroses, heathers, different varieties of orchids and the Fairy Flax, whose diffusion is limited to the sandy coasts only; spotting it will be easy since it is characterised by long, feathery, silver-coloured aristae. 3. The ring of Cesarolo
The route unites the two souls of the hinterland of Bibione: that of the productive campaign characterized by rows of vineyards and fruit trees with that of the river environment characterized by an uncontaminated vegetation receptacle of many species of birds.
