Cycling to discover an authentic and original Venice

Venice, with its charm, its iconic monuments and its canals on which gondolas sail, is famous throughout the world. It’s no coincidence that any, more or less, picturesque place overlooking a series of waterways, is compared to the monumental - and let’s be honest - undisputed queen of the Venetian Lagoon.

Not everyone knows that it is possible to discover a Venice that is off the beaten track, thanks to a cycle route that crosses the islands of the Lido, where you can cycle through the wild waters of the open sea and the placid waters of the lagoon, while Venice stands in all its glory, like the star of a painting in a museum.

The Islands Cycle Route: the Venice you don’t expect

Leaving the calli, campi and cicchetti behind for a few hours, you can reach the Island of Alberoni by boat and cycle safely to Alberoni Oasis. The bike itinerary continues, once again by sea, to the Island of Pellestrina, with stops in the town of Pellestrina, the village of Portosecco and Ca’ Roman Nature Reserve.

A simple, pleasant and unusual route, suitable for everyone, thanks to which cyclists can discover a little-known part of Venice in a slow, contemplative and green way.
